California Pizza Kitchen at Two Hughes Landing, 1790 Hughes Landing Boulevard 1900 Ste. #200, The Woodlands, Texas.

I have been here several times. I have never had a bad experience. The food is always cooked well and tasty. The waitresses I had have always been prompt and attentive. The outside seating has a beautiful view.

Okay guys, sadly, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had. First off, the bathroom was gross, and the communal sink area was gross - wet, pee on the floor, garbage cans full. We sat outside where the view overlooking the lake was lovely, but there was literally garbage all over the ground and a big pile of it in the landscaping right by our table. Though the restaurant wasn't that busy, I tried to overlook the mess as we were meeting some friends there.

But then the food.

It took almost 45 minutes to arrive, and when it did, it was all cold. The only one who received a hot pizza was my 4-year-old, and that's because he received his food almost 10 minutes after everyone else. I took one bite of mine (the California Club Pizza) and could not eat it; the bacon tasted "off." The waitress was new, so up till then we were all trying to be very patient. Unfortunately, she forgot our drinks multiple times and didn't bring silverware for the ones with salad. Or dressing. Not sure if that was her error or the kitchen staff's.

I went inside, politely asked if a manager was there, and after several minutes, was told he or she was on a conference call and couldn't see us. The only bright spot of our evening was a man named Ben who apologized profusely and took care of our checks. Thanks, Ben. You're cool.

So after hanging out on the patio of California Pizza Kitchen for nearly an hour and a half, we pulled up our trusty Pizza Hut app, made the order, and all met up at our house to laugh about how awful it all was and actually eat dinner.
